The Mac's Triangle Pub began its life in the post prohibition years under the name New Nick's. I have been unable to ascertain who Nick was or if there was an Old Nick first. In the mid 1970s New Nick's was renamed the Triangle Tavern. Due in large part to the confusion between The Triangle Tavern in White Center and the Historic Triangle Tavern in Pioneer Square and in lesser part to the current owner's ego, in 2005 it became known as Mac's Triangle Pub. Good food, Cold beer and Strong drinks are in abundance.
The Martini is reputed to have been developed in 1865 at the Occidental Hotel in San Francisco. It was a concoction of gin, dry vermouth, cherry juice and bitters served chilled up in a cold glass. Mac's Triangle Martini is the vodka variant that became so popular in the fifties with the advent of Ian Fleming's James Bond. "Shaken Not Stirred", we don't store the vermouth too close to the vodka and the shells are always chilled. Come enjoy the classic taste of simple elegance at Mac's Triangle Pub.
